SanJac is a large community college with locations all over the greater Houston area. Their students needs had oupaced their old site. Students expected to access the site from different devices, be able to easily find information and see class schedules anywhere. The SanJac team also wanted to modernize the editing experience and improve accessibility.

Strategy
Research
The Research process was based on closely working with the SanJac team. We conducted many interviews with key stakeholders as well as surveys with actual users. We used that research to create user personas, process maps and a sitemap to understand and plan user interactions
Creative
We provided SanJac with a comprehensive creative approach from visual design to copwriting. We wanted to rethink how SanJac presented their online identity and create a website that communicated who they are to prospective students.
Development
This is a massive, feature packed site: Multiple integrations, single sign on, a custom campus map, live chat, course catalog integration and a migration to name a few. The SanJac team wanted a truly world-class site and we delivered!

Course Finder
The site now has an updated course finder, where students can easily find their courses. Including which campus, the professor, and which building the class is located. The course finder is integrated with CourseLeaf and automatically pulls in the most recent course information multiple times a day.

Mobile Designs
Beautiful mobile designs and menus. Mobile design is web design, it needs to be planned for and accounted right from the start. Not an afterthought cobbled together at the end of a project.

Campus Maps
We developed a custom interactive campus map where students, alumni, and prospective students will be able to find buildings, and what is on each floor of that building. The map also gives an overview of the campus. The map is built natively in the CMS, so all your content stays in one place.

The old site was difficult to use, not mobile-user friendly and the information on the site was not always useful. The new site for San Jacinto College is now mobile-friendly as well as the site is easier to navigate and is more aesthetically pleasing. We added many features including the campus map and the course finder.
