Drupal upgrade · D7/D8/D9 → D10/D11
Get off the old Drupal
before it gets off you.
Drupal 7 EOL is past. D8 and D9 are unsupported. Drupal 10 is the floor; Drupal 11 is here. We do the upgrade work the right way: not a lift-and-shift but a content-modeled, editor-led migration. Most sites land in 3–6 months. Zero-downtime cutover. SEO inheritance preserved.

FAQ
Questions worth asking.
Our site is still on Drupal 7. Is that upgrade path still viable, or do we need to do a rebuild?
Drupal 7 upgrades to Drupal 10 are migrations, not in-place updates, there is no automated upgrade path. We rebuild the site with a modern content model and migrate your content. For most institutions, this is an opportunity to clean up years of editorial drift at the same time.
How long does a typical Drupal 9-to-10 upgrade take?
Three to six months for most sites. The timeline depends on how many contributed modules need replacements, the complexity of your custom code, and how much content migration is involved. We can give a tighter estimate after an initial audit.
Will we lose search rankings during the cutover?
No, SEO inheritance is part of our standard process. We audit existing URL structures, implement redirects, carry over metadata, and verify crawlability before go-live. We’ve done zero-downtime cutovers on 30+ upgrade projects without ranking regression.
We have a lot of custom modules built for Drupal 8. What happens to those?
We audit each custom module: some migrate cleanly, some need refactoring, and some are better replaced by contributed modules that didn’t exist in D8. We give you a clear inventory and effort estimate before any work starts so there are no surprises mid-project.
Should we go to Drupal 10 or skip straight to Drupal 11?
For most organizations, targeting Drupal 10 and planning a straightforward minor upgrade to Drupal 11 shortly after is the lowest-risk path. Drupal 11 is stable, but the contributed module ecosystem is still maturing. We’ll recommend the right target based on your specific module dependencies.

Two ways from here. Skim the work and see if we’d be a fit, or send a quick note through the form. The founder reads them.
